About Me

Ken McGarveyWelcome, my name is Ken McGarvey and this is my blog “Makin Cheddar”.

Sounds like a strange name for a website I’ll grant you!

Trust me I won’t be showing you how to make any particular type of editable cheese!

Let me explain to you why I came up with this name.

Back in 2022 I started to look at how I was going to be financially ready for when the time came to retire from the rat race. After pulling all my numbers together of both my income and expenses I began to research how much money I would need to live a comfortable life after retirement.

I seemed to find that no matter what articles or opinions I looked at they all screamed “Your going to run out of money”.

I knew that I didn’t want to work for ever doing the same old routine of wakeup, go to work, come home, eat dinner, maybe relax a bit then go to bed to start all over again!

So one weekend I got on my computer and did what my wife always tells me to do when I ask her a question, Google It. I entered “Ways to make Money Online” in the search box and WOW I hit the jackpot! There were so many options, I thought all I have to do is pick one and my problems would be solved!

So I began to look at each type of method from drop shipping, MLM, Amazon, Digital products, print on demand the lists go on and on. I would read how I could make 15k in a weekend, drive Lamborghini’s, fly in my own jet and be a multi-millionaire in no time.

Boy they all saw me coming! I bought several courses that made some of these promises only to find out that the only one making any cheddar (Money) was the guy taking my credit card!

I thought to myself how can this be if there are so many people making money online? This lead me to more and more research. As I began to better understand the language used in these industries, I began to see which ones were worth looking further into and which ones to stay away from.

The research brought me to find a very educational program where I am learning how things work in a successful make money online environment.

After finishing the initial introduction of this program, I decided to jump in with additional training and a mentor so that I would eliminate the pitfalls that most people experience trying to put together an online business on their own.

Although this journey so far hasn’t been flowers and roses every day. I have been learning and moving forward and can see a difference from when this was just an idea.

That brings me to where I’m at these days, I wanted to step outside my comfort zone and create a blog site where I can share with others how I got to today as well as the steps I am taking along this journey to “Makin Cheddar”.
